Bike Hire

We are a social enterprise promoting cycling and walking for leisure, health and active travel in and around Galashiels in the beautiful Scottish Borders. Now is the time to think about how using active travel options for shorter journeys will help reduce carbon emissions and save us money.

We can provide details of local walking and cycling routes as well as information about local activities, attractions and facilities. We also offer weekly health walks, led cycle rides, and seating for those who want to chat, rest or even escape whatever weather is happening, any time of the year! Customers can bring their cycles into the Hub; muddy boots and paws are always welcome.

We also aim to promote everyday acceptance of neurodiversity, particularly autism. Information about autism, and some of the myths surrounding it is available on our website, and in our Hub. As parents of a young autistic adult, Hike & Bike Hub co-founders (Angela & George) understand some of the issues faced, particularly around employment, by far too many neurodivergent people. So, with that in mind, Hike & Bike Hub is aiming to become an inclusive employer, with a positive action recruitment policy to encourage, support and retain neurodiverse staff members. Neurotypical individuals are welcome too!
