'Roon The Toon' Workshops
Description
‘Roon The Toon’ is a hands-on creative project which provides a framework to design and produce a unique board game based on the Historical assets of participants’ own Town or Village. This is achieved through a series of structured creative workshops designed and delivered by Arts Inc. CIC staff. The workshops take place over a 6-week period, the project is completed within 10 weeks and can be delivered in any suitable Community setting/ facility.
‘Roon The Toon’ engages pupils in creativity offering the opportunity to develop individual and group work, learn new creative skills and provides a platform to learn through research, about of the Heritage of the area where they live.
Art Inc.'s ‘Roon The Toon’ model is designed to offer maximum flexibility. They consult with clients prior to delivery and proactively encourage input from participants and staff throughout the workshop delivery. ‘Roon The Toon’ offers the further possibility to involve/ engage with the wider Community, Heritage organisations and local Care Homes. Project delivery in the wider Community fulfils the ‘Wider Experiences’ module of the Curriculum
The finished ‘Roon The Toon’ board game is a unique legacy of the project, a valuable and interesting educational resource to be enjoyed by this and future generations, all produced by school pupils in their own Community.

Arts Inc CIC is a Community Interest Company formed in July 2018 that designs and delivers person centred creative services to Older Adults some with Dementia, Adults with learning disabilities and primary school pupils.
